CONTENT
Creationwords that work as hard as your coffee
Most cafés and roasteries have an incredible story — they just don't have the time or the words to tell it. Content creation isn't about posting for the sake of posting. It's about building a consistent, recognisable voice that makes people want to come in, come back, and bring their friends.
We produce monthly content — blog posts, social copy, photography briefs, email newsletters, and website writing — written by people who understand coffee and know how to talk about it without sounding like a marketing agency. The result is content that sounds like you on your best day, every day.
What's Included
Blog Posts & Guides
Two to four long-form articles per month on topics your customers actually care about — origin stories, brewing guides, seasonal menus, behind-the-scenes. Written for both SEO and real human readers.
Social Media Copy
Caption writing for Instagram, Facebook, and wherever else you live. Matched to your voice, your calendar, and the content your team is already capturing in-house.
Photography Briefs
Shot lists, mood boards, and direction for your in-house photographer or for the sessions we coordinate. So you always know what you're shooting and why, before anyone picks up a camera.
Email Newsletters
Monthly emails written and formatted for your list — announcements, stories, seasonal promotions, and the kind of genuine updates that keep customers loyal between visits.
Menu & Product Copy
The words on your menus, bags, and product pages do more work than most people realise. We write coffee and food descriptions that explain clearly, sound great, and don't rely on tired adjectives.
Website Content
Homepage copy, about pages, service descriptions, and landing pages — written with your voice, your brand, and your customer in mind. Structured for clarity and optimised for search.

The Situation
Compound had the coffee, the story, and the customers — but almost no online presence. Their Instagram was inconsistent, their website copy was generic, and they had no blog despite twelve months of remarkable sourcing trips and roasting milestones worth talking about.
The Outcome
Six months of monthly content production later, their organic website traffic had tripled, their email list had grown from 180 to 1,400 subscribers, and three wholesale accounts had cited finding them through a blog post as the reason they got in touch.
How It Works
Brand & Voice Audit
Week 1
We spend time understanding who you are, who your customers are, and what you already sound like. We review existing content, your menu, your social, and any writing you've done. The goal is to write like you — not like us.
Content Strategy
Week 2
We build a three-month content calendar: topics, formats, publishing schedule, and the brief for each piece. You approve it before we write a word. No surprises.
Monthly Production
Ongoing
We deliver content on a rolling monthly basis — copy in your inbox before the start of each month, ready to publish or hand off to your team. Revisions included as standard.
Review & Refine
Quarterly
Every three months we review what's performing, what's resonating with your audience, and whether the strategy needs a refresh. Content that isn't working gets replaced with content that does.
Investment
Monthly retainer
From £650/mo
Content creation retainers are priced by volume and scope — how much you need each month, across how many formats. A focused social and blog package starts from £650 per month. Full-service content production — blog, social, email, and website — is typically £1,200–£1,800 per month. Minimum three-month commitment.
All prices exclude VAT. Photography production costs (where applicable) are quoted separately.
Common Questions
Do I need to provide photos?
Not necessarily. We can write around assets your team captures in-house — and we'll give you detailed shot lists so they know exactly what to photograph. If you'd like us to coordinate a professional photography session, we can arrange that as an add-on.
Will it sound like me, or like a marketing agency?
That's the whole point. We start every engagement with a voice and tone audit — reviewing your existing copy, talking to you, and documenting the way you naturally communicate. The content we produce should feel like you wrote it on your best day. If it doesn't, we revise until it does.
How much time do you need from me each month?
Minimal. Once the strategy is signed off, the process is largely hands-off for you. We'll need around 30 minutes of your time for a monthly check-in, and any significant business news you want us to write about. Outside of that, we handle the rest.
Can I use the content myself or hire someone else to publish it?
Absolutely. The content is yours. Many clients have their own team handle publishing and scheduling — we just deliver copy-ready content. Others prefer us to post directly. We can accommodate either.
We only want blog posts, not social. Is that an option?
Yes — we can scope a retainer around just one or two formats if that's what you need. We'll be honest if we think a broader approach would serve you better, but we're flexible on scope.
